1. Is the pattern real herringbone or a printed effect?
The bond is real: every 600x120 mm plank is laid perpendicular to its neighbour and the ends form the chevrons. Only the oak grain on the surface is reproduced by embossing.

2. Can it be laid over an existing floor?
Yes, as a floating floor over any flat, sound and dry subfloor. A thin underlay is normally used, and no adhesive is needed.
